RELIGIOUS CONNECTION
I am a religious person and consequently, religion (specifically for me the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) has played into not only the motivation to start my organization, but also how I have healed as a survivor.
LISTEN, LEARN, AND LOVE
Listen, Learn, and Love is a podcast whose goal it is to bring together various resources for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who wish to learn more about those who sometimes feel marginalized in the church including LGBTQ+ individuals, divorcees, sexual assault survivors, recovered drug addicts, and more. It is for families, individuals, local leaders, and all who wish to learn more about these issues. I recorded a podcast with the host of Listen, Learn, and Love, Brother Ostler. Listen to it through the link below.
LEADING SAINTS
Leading Saints is an organization dedicated to helping members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints be better prepared to lead in their communities, families, and church assignments. I wrote a blog post for them describing my journey as a survivor including my story, my healing, and how religion and leaders of my Church aided in that journey. Note: the title of this blog currently uses the term "victim" which was not chosen by me and is not the correct terminology to refer to survivors of sexual assault.
